Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi Turns off Lights to Support Earth Hour

On March 23rd, Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi turned off lights and some unnecessary electrical appliances for one hour, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, in support of Earth Hour.
During this event, the aquarium turned off lights in areas such as the main lobby, ticket counter, touch tank, and exit corridors. It is noted that this activity aims to promote energy conservation and thereby reduce carbon dioxide emissions (a greenhouse gas), while also enhancing awareness of environmental and climate issues in the global community.
At exactly 8:30 PM, many areas at Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi were switched off.
The Earth Hour activities at Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi also received support from many visitors. Mr. Le Duong (34 years old, Hanoi) stated: “I totally support and appreciate the electricity-saving activities to protect the environment at Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi. I brought my family to the aquarium to admire the fish species, so reducing electricity did not affect our visit; in fact, the fish tanks became even more sparkling. I hope that through these activities, visitors and citizens will increasingly become aware of saving electricity and water to preserve and protect our planet.”
In the darkness, the displayed tanks at the aquarium shimmer even more.
“Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi always emphasizes its mission of environmental protection and considers it a crucial factor for sustainable development. Not only does it focus on protecting the external environment, but the aquarium also aims to protect and preserve the living environment for marine creatures. In addition to the lights-off activity, we hope that everyone will join hands in protecting the environment by conserving water resources, cleaning up waste in pond and beach areas, recycling plastic waste, and planting more trees,” a representative from Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi stated.
“Customers were enthusiastic about experiencing the activities at the aquarium during Earth Hour.”
