TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF “SAVE THE OCEAN” DRAWING CONTEST

1. Purpose: The “Save the Ocean” drawing contest aims to raise awareness among the public, especially children, about protecting the marine environment and its creatures.

2. Participants: everyone, especially children.

3. Timeline: April 2nd – May 31st

  • Submission of entries: April 3rd – May 5th
  • Display of entries: April 15th – May 31st
  • Online voting: May 9th – May 26th
  • Announcement of awards: June 8th (World Oceans Day)

4. How to participate:

  • Participants create paintings closely related to the theme “Save the Ocean.”

Suggestions: Share emotions, stories, thoughts, dreams about topics such as necessary activities to contribute to sustainable ocean protection; actions to do and not to do with the marine environment and marine species; activities to protect the ocean and endangered species; etc.

  • Participants submit competition entries directly at the Ticket Counter or send them via postal mail/delivery service.… Each painting that meets all requirements* will receive a 5% discount voucher** (each voucher applies to 1 ticket)
  • The paintings will be displayed and participate in online voting.

*Regulations regarding competition entries:

  • Paintings must adhere to the theme “Save the Ocean.”
  • Paintings should be on A4 paper, landscape orientation.
  • Competition entries must be hand-drawn on paper using materials of choice such as: pencils, crayons, wax colors, oil paints, watercolors, colored pencils, cut and paste, or other materials (drawings made with black pencils will not be accepted).
  • The front of the artwork must not be signed. On the back, on the right side, in the lower corner, provide the following information: Name of the picture; full name of the author; date of birth of the author; contact address (home address or school address, class); contact phone number (can be the phone number of parent/teacher). Entries without complete personal information will be considered invalid…
  • Competition entries must not have been previously published in any books, newspapers, magazines, or any other public media. The author is fully responsible for the copyright and any disputes regarding the copyright of the artwork.
  • Entries sent via postal mail must be clearly marked: Competition Entry: “Save the Ocean” drawing contest.

**Students/group guests will be eligible for the highest promotional offer, promotions cannot be combined.

5. Scoring method:

  • 50% based on the number of online votes through reactions and shares in public mode (1 reaction = 1 point, 1 share = 5 points)
  • 50% based on evaluation scores from the organizing committee.
  • Winning works will be determined based on points from high to low. In case of a tie between two or more works, the one submitted earlier (based on the date the author submitted the entry) will be selected.

6. Prize:

  • 01 First Prize: 3 million VND
  • 01 Second Prize: 2 million VND
  • 01 Third Prize: 1 million VN
  • 02 Encouragement Prizes: Each prize worth 500,000 VND

7. Other regulations:

  • The competition organizing committee is not responsible for any lost entries during the submission process.
  • The judging panel has the final decision on prize-winning entries.
  • The organizing committee will not return entries submitted for the competition and reserves the right to own, use all copyrights of the artwork for promotional purposes of the competition as well as other promotional activities.

  • For entries sent by mail, Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi will return the discount vouchers via expedited delivery to the address provided on the entry.
